Do your own play-by-play of next week's near destruction of your home planet with this handy Java tool from our pals at NASA's toys on the web department.
Apparently the rock known as "1990 OS" passes the earth just nine widths of the moon's orbit next Wednesday. It'll be a magnitude 15 thang in the sky when it goes by - if you listen close you may hear the whoosh. I fully expect Steve G. to go out in the middle of the night and shake his fist at "1990 OS" as it goes by, shouting about the intra-galactic joy-riding parabolic-orbit no-good layabout that it is.
