Somewhere between 2.4 and 2.9 million active blogs in existence, but they remain a tiny slice of web life. Only 2% of web users have created a blog, and only an estimated 4% read them...Given that there are only so many hours in the day and RSS is not yet the salvation of anything, each of the 4% are only reading 10 to 25 blogs on average (and that is a high guess...I'd guess), so there is a great difference between saying 4% read blogs and 4% watch TV. The internet has never overcome its dislocation of information from the user. Google only indexes a similar small percentage.
When will the librarians put on the black masks, take over and impose the Dewey decimal system on the web?
