I was checking and here are last year's results from the 2002 Beach to Beacon race:
Place: 3954
Name: ALAN MCLEOD
Home Town: HUNTER RIVER, PC
Nationality: CANADA
Division: Male (35-39)
Time: 1:19:24
Place In Div.: 336
# In Div.: 343
Net Time: 1:15:56
While this was no great showing, I hardly broke a sweat and have high hopes for this weekend's break into a new class as the young kid. It sure would be nice if the netting out of time included a body mass index factor.

A little over 7:30/per k. This year, you are in an older category, and should improve on the 343 in Div. A good size race. I ran Lilac Bloomsday in the late '80's when it was #2 in world (Not sure what it is now) with about 90,000 people. Scarest thing in the world, choppers, police, line-ups at porta-potties, kids crying, adults yelling, and bang! The gun goes off. Nobody moved for 4 minutes.
What takes a soccer-ball chaser there? (I am up early to run with a running buddy who only goes at 5:30 every day)

A buddy lives there, the Ross, who grew up in Truro who also used to work in Ottawa so a bunch drive from the Maritimes and a bunch drive from Eastern Ontario to pretend to run but really BBQ most of the weekend. I want to swim in the big ocean and sit in a bar in the USA.
