Its over a year now since Joe Strummer died at fifty. I got his last album with the band Mescaleros, Streetcore, for Christmas from bro' Iain and it has made its way into the car's CD player today. "Coma Girl", the first cut, bodes very well - nice drive the car to work music for someone who pretends he is still 18 in his heart of hearts. STG review here.

This is a great CD. "Arms Aloft" is a great recollection of punk. The accoustic version of Marley's "Redemption Song" is true. Go get it.

I saw Joe Strummer live in the summer of 2002. He was brilliant. He still had all the energy and aggression he had when I first saw him 25 years earlier.
He is sadly missed.
