Some dirt
Mount Thom a little east of Truro, looking ugly

I was reminded of the old home town when I saw this picture on the NS government highway web cam page. I piled pulpwood in the forest south of this road back in the summer of 1980, with the diminutive crew chief Brian Matatall flipping quarters with the dullest knives for their pay.

It was pretty nasty out around that time but on the road back to Truro, most of the snow had already melted.
